Since its inception in 1941, Fine Art Lamps has distinguished itself from all others with unsurpassed designs and workmanship. This company has relentlessly produced lighting fixtures on the cutting edge of design and as their name implies have been viewed by insiders as pieces of fine art. In 1965, Max Bloomberg came to work for the company and assumed chairmanship of the company his father began. Since then, Fine Art Lamps has been recognized with a remarkable array of awards including 7 of the last 15 years of the prestigious ARTS award of the design industry.
Fine Art Lamps is a vertical manufacturer, making their products in house, within its own buildings including metalworking, glass blowing, and resin casting. In spite of the highly technical nature of many of its processes, the factory floor is characterized by the artisans handiwork is orchestrated by a sophisticated computerized information system.
